Penang Medi-City operates on a district cooling system that delivers chilled water to its business units, ensuring consistent cooling with lower energy consumption. Driving this initiative is KJTS Group, a leading expert in building support services across Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Since 1984, KJTS has expanded beyond cooling systems into energy management, EPCC (engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning), and facilities management. Their commitment to sustainability reduces Penang Medi-City’s carbon footprint while keeping operations cost-effective and environmentally responsible.
Renewable Energy and e-Mobility System
Sustainability powers Penang Medi-City’s daily operations, with renewable energy and e-mobility systems at the heart of our green initiatives. This transformation is powered by Solarvest, a clean energy specialist with a strong presence across the Asia-Pacific. Founded in Malaysia, Solarvest started as a solar photovoltaic provider and has since built a renewable energy portfolio exceeding 1,300MW. Their expertise in hydrogen, battery storage, energy efficiency, and low-carbon mobility plays a key role in shaping Penang Medi-City’s eco-friendly infrastructure, ensuring a smarter and more sustainable future.
